Sandhill Crane Vineyards is a small family-owned winery and cafe located in eastern Jackson county. Our award-winning wines are made with only local grapes and other fruits. The new cafe features soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts made with locally sourced ingredients. For groups of 8 or more we ask that you give us a courtesy call at least 24 hours in advance and plan on arriving before 4:30 pm on the day of your visit. That will allow us to make sure that we have adequate tasting room staff on hand and reserve one or more tables for your group. Thanks!

We really enjoyed the visit to Sandhill Crane Vineyards. It is off the beaten path, so to speak, but well worth the time and effort. Lunch is basically a variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads. Also, the wine tasting of course is the focus of the other part of the business. Vineyards are close by if you are interested in... More

Sandhill Crane is tucked away from the road. Follow the signage and don't be surprised if you turn in the driveway of neighboring house! The building sits back off the road. The facility has a nice bar for tasting and deli. The deck is great in the summer time. The wine list is extensive. They have a few nice wines... More

We were traveling through the area and since we'd never stopped at a southeast Michigan winery, we chose to stop at one close to 94, and Sandhill Crane looked like a good choice to us. Thankfully we were not disappointed! We were hungry so we ordered the smoked trout starter from the cafe menu to go along with our tasting.... More

We came here with friends after visiting "Cell Block 7" (highly recommend ) . What a wonderful beautiful setting Sandhill Crane offers. The Staff are just so friendly and helpful. We came just as a tour bus was leaving, about 1:30pm. Ordered our lunch at the counter then proceeded to select 8 tasting of wines ($5.00) . While we ate... More

Sandhill Cranes is located east of Jackson off the Sargent Rd exit from I-94. The setting is very nice with a spacious deck overlooking the growing vines and orchard, and a nice indoor area that is light and airy with a bar and stage. The food on offer is fine lunch-time fayre, quite tasty; its good to ask what the... More

We needed a place to meet between Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo. I happened to get lucky and found this place on the Internet. It is located a bit northeast of Jackson and is well worth the effort to find the place. We did not sample the wine, but each of us had a different sandwich and all of us were... More

We found this hidden gem because of a half marathon and 5k that was held at the winery. Post race, we had lunch at their cafe. The food was great! They even offer gluten free bread - yeah!! Then, we did the wine tastings. We were surprised by how great their was! Needless to say, we purchased several bottles to... More

We've lived in the area for a long time and kept saying, "We need to try that place." Well, we finally did, and it was lovely! Lunch at the cafe was delicious. They have a great variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups, and everything is locally sourced. The $5 wine tasting fee gets you a sample of everything on their... More

As far as a vineyard goes, yummy. I bought Raspberry wine, aprox. $21.00, it was so good,we added some to a white Sangria and the rest we just enjoyed by itself. We also ordered a mocha coffee and blt panini from the Cafe. I have to be honest here, it was worse than rest stop coffee out of a machine,... More
