So glad we stopped by here. It is a lovely place and we really enjoyed walking along a couple of the trails. My husband was impressed that they pay close attention to the "smaller" items in an ecological system such as the bugs, weeds and...More

14+ miles of hiking trails for all skill levels. Fair admission ($7 per adult). We spent a couple of hours wandering the easier trails along the creek and river. The visitor center is a bit dated but has some nice information about local wildlife. Tons...More

The sprawling grounds offer mikes of nature trails where you’re likely to see dozens of animal species, ranging from deer to owls to snakes. The terrain varies from glacial ridges to river valley, to prairie. The knowledgeable staff always add value to a visit.

We went to the Kalamazoo Nature Center and were unsure of what to expect. The woman at the desk was very helpful in recommending trails. The difficulty level is reasonable and accurately depicted (easy was easy; medium was medium)

We visited the KNC for a winter hike with friends. The trails are clearly marked and weren't too rugged for the young children with our group. Afterwards we were able to let the kids warm up inside and play a bit. Unfortunately the play area...More

We took a lovely amble through several of the smaller trails and really enjoyed the well marked paths and map. It was so serene with it's dusting of snow and the sun sparkling off the iced-over ponds. If I lived in or anywhere near Kalamazoo,...More
