I have been to the History Center many times. Today we took 2 children ages 8 and 12. The center takes you through the history of Michigan from the time of the Paleo-Indians up to the 1970's. Many exhibits are interactive and touching is encouraged....More

The Archives, Library and History Museum was a great experience. The staff showed us how to use the resources and were so helpful at every turn. This was my first time looking up genealogy records and they made it fun and exciting.

This is the place to go if you love history. I haven't been through the museum in years but I remember finding it really educational. I visit to work on my family tree. No better place in Michigan for information.

This is a wonderful, very comprehensive, and, for some reason, very underlooked museum. Neat building, goes chronologically through Michigan history, great fun and educational trip-- doable in a few hours, but plan 3 plus if you want to have time to really absorb and see...More

Took the family to check out the museum over spring break. It has a lot of fun things to see. The displays are well done and the people they have walking around telling people about the displays are knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a great...More
