This place has a rich history and beautiful grounds. The lovely Lakeshore landscape with it's woodsy trails make this a great place for bird watchers, hikers, meditating in nature, taking in a beautiful Sunset. Photographers will love it at Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary.

The trails are well maintained, beautiful, and interesting. The view of Lake Michigan is stunning. The stretch of beach you can walk on is lovely and we had it all to ourselves. It is a rock collector's paradise. While we didn't see any new or...More

Cycled here from town, and walked down the north trail to the beach. Nice wild area and beach view, but little in the way of obvious birds.

This is an Audubon Bird Sanctuary on the grounds of the former M.E. and Gertrude Gray home, just north of Orchard Beach State Park. Three short easy, but unpaved, walking trails within the 75 acres, passing by various unusual tree specimens including California Redwood, Ginkgo,...More
