Right in the heart of Tipasa is the archeological site. Quite tidy and well sorted out. Very clean when compared with other areas . As it is only an hour away from the capital Algiers, you might take a three-hour off from the city and visit the place. It is well worth the time spent.

First, about the park: Although it's not being well-maintained and I expect that its decline will continue unless something is changed, it's still worth a great visit. Even now, you can see this old Roman city sitting proudly on a bluff jutting over the Mediterranean; you can observe the old streets, the old courts, the old olive groves, the old... More

I did just a short walk through the park, but I was busted by the amount of Roman ruins showing the importance of this place in ancient times.

What a fantastic site - truly breathtaking how well preserved and in part still functional this archeological highlight of Algeria is presented. Make sure to walk on the well preserved Via and listen to the sound of waves hitting the 2000 year old coastline villas ... strong recommendation!
