The temple has beautiful carvings with each little scripture telling a story.while only the main temple still stands while the other four are in ruins, the temple is still a must go for history and architecture buffs

If you are visiting Bhubaneshwar then one must visit this temple though it's around 70kms away from the capital. Sun temple being close to sea experiences lots of erosion and damage due to saline air and also the fact that the main and third part of the temple had collapsed centuries before does not make this like the best maintained... More

I am sure, you will be wonder stuck to see this splendid marvelous ancient Indian architecture. The stone carvings depicting different phases of life and reading time of day on Chakra are awesome. It is suggested to hire a guide at the place to understand the history.

We drove from Bhubaneshwar to Puri and covered Konark temple en route. The temple is nothing like a place of worship but a good example of ancient architecture. The Grand ancient Indian style attracts one added by the peaceful garden.There is very less place to take sheds so I will recommend visiting in evening slot so that you can also... More

good to visit sun temple which we have read in the school history books. it is a huge monument needs to be protected.architecture of the temple is wonderful. once can imagine the minor work and hardly to calculate the total person days for doing such a minor work in the huge building.

Its a beautiful temple. The architecture and scientific knowledge behind building the temple is astounding. please take a guide who can give you history of the temple. you need ticket to enter the temple.
