Built in 1010 AD by cholas in their capital Tanjavur this temple celebrated 1000 years in 2010. Very big temple with lord shiva as main deity this temple is an architectural marvel and recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Must visit.

This temple located Thanjavur, India. One of the biggest temple south India. Powerful God of Siva Hindu temple. All the facilities here this temple. Most of the people come to visit this temple and foreigners also visit here. Heavy stone used to build this temple.

Temple complex general timing is morning 5am to 8pm in the evening , but garbhagriha have some specific timing that you need to check with pujari.
