The staff in the clean and tidy port building were very helpful. The boats and buses were spot on. The boats have free shuttle buses to tuned with their services to drop off and collect customers across the island.
I drove through twice and the least favorite of the villages. I was unable to tell if the shops were open and also few had signs in English.
However I did note more restaurants and at least one bar in town.
Small town of ferry terminal, car rentals, few supermarkets and restaurants. Nothing special, but a good starting point to explore the island. There is a scheduled inexpensive bus going along the coast and passing the town.
