This place is slightly away from main areas of Bhaktpur Darbar Square. Slightly less crowded compared to other attractions at Bhaktpur. The temple in itself is beautiful and picturesque. Great place and would like to visit again after few years.

A (little) bit off the touristic beaten tracks. A quiet place to recover from the (day) crowd whilst observing the daily activities of the Nepalese people

Within the bhaktapur darbar square complex this temple had a wonderful carved stones structure and a beautiful dome. Even though earthquake hit the main structure the big bell is still standing right in front which is still operational.

If you stay in the area swing by this temple often. We experienced several unique culture moments there. It is the heart of much activity. One night it was even our good fortune to be invited inside and get to watch a group playing a wonderful variety of, to us, very exotic instruments. The Newari, the primary ethnic group of... More

We pass through this square on our way to see the iconic peacock window and the paper craft center in Bhaktapur.

This temple of Dattatreya is found in the Dattatraya square of Bhaktapur. Architecture is really beautiful of the temple and also has carved out stone statues. There is many wood carved structures in this temple. The craftsmanship and the skills is amazing especially on the woodwork.

Within Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one can experience local tradition. Though building is damaged by earth quake. Good to take a walk around.

Dattatreya Temple, like most other temples in Nepal, is a beautifully crafted structure with some really intricate works of great detail. The peacock window is one such... where the wood work shows amazing skill and care. However, this was probably the dirtiest and most unclean area in all of Bhaktapur, at least at the time of our visit. The lane... More
