This is must-see scenery in the Upper Peninsula. We camped and hiked here for a few days, for our second anniversary. Camped near beautiful chapel rock. Never pitched a tent anywhere prettier - we were amidst the pine trees but on the cliff (you could...More

We did the Pictured Rocks Cruise years ago, so this time we wanted something different. We chose this because it had a very tiny baby waterfall that was rumored to be a good photo op. Lake Superior was wild that day so the baby waterfall...More

We took the sunset cruise and were blessed with good weather. The sunset could have been better but it peeked out from the clouds long enough to get some great pictures. I recommend it!

I did the morning boat tour and it was good but I was later told by someone in the area that for the best experience that I should have done the afternoon cruise because the sunlight would be shining on the rocks and I'd have...More

There is no real way to appreciate this place from the land side. Either rent one or ride on one. Sunset is the best time to both appreciate or get good photo images. Bring layers....it can get cold and windy.

Stop at the Park Headquarters as you to on your ride thru the Lakeshore. It won't disappoint and you will get to see the original Coast Guard Station for Munising. Look thru the window of the "garage" where the lifeboats were stored. One is still...More

We were not disappointed at all. The colors were great and the time we went it was not busy at all. We were able to drive at our own pace! No bears or moose sightings (bummer)

This place is just amazing. So much to see and do from seeing the Pictured Rocks via a boat tour or kayaking to hiking, seeing waterfalls, a lighthouse and sand dunes. We hiked along the water from Hurricane River Campground to Au Sable Lighthouse. Then...More

Hi. We just took the boat tour but if you have the chance to kayak I think it would be fantastic. I saw that they hauled the kayaks out to the prettiest part and then just unloaded them off the boat for the guests. So my... More

You need to spend one day on Mackinac Island. If you are already doing that and have two extra days, then yes I recommend the upper peninsula. It is an easy drive up I75 to Sault Ste. Marie to do the Soo Locks cruise which... More

Be prepared with bug spray for mosquitos and black flies. If you need it, you have it. If the bugs aren't bad (which is rare in my opinion), at least you were prepared. Ticks have been quite bad this year in lower Michigan... More
