Buy the state park sticker when you renew your Michigan licensee plate and enjoy this beautiful park and all the others too! I think it's only $10 for a year long pass.

Love sand dunes. Love beaches, Lake Michigan, and warm days. This is a great place to spend a day with all 3 of those things. Lots of sand makes busy days feel not so crowded. Lots of parking. Highly recommend.

One of many absolutely gorgeous beaches and preserves of land on Michigan’s west coast. The nature center, picnic areas, and beach accesses are unmatched. Please check it out and enjoy!!!!

My favorite spot to visit all 3 seasons - it's great for cross-country skiers & snowshoers.. The sand is just like pictured and the footpaths are for all grades of hikers. I do miss the Trillium which covered the dunes in past years but plants...More

Please don't go here, it is a nice quiet park with a beautiful beach. No amenities, no hot dog/popcorn stands, just a quiet beach on the lake. Let's leave it that way. ;-)

As far as I know, the only dog-friendly beach is the one further north at Kruse Park. Ranger Station could tell you for sure.
