Hoffmaster. state park is a wonderful campground with many trees for shade . The sites are good in size and are all flat. The campground is easily walkable and great for bike riding. The campground beach is small but very enjoyable for those awesome sunsets...More

The camground is great!! Love the scenery and so quiet! Beautiful place for sunset viewing. Have gone there last 3 years in a row.

Love the campground here! Clean bath houses! Nice play ground. Large trees with lots of shade! Nice hiking trails with a short trail leading right to the beach. The beach is gorgeous! Our girls loved swimming in Lake Michigan! They also enjoyed the Visitor Center...More

Hoffmaster is one of my favorite places. Peaceful walking/cross-country skiing trails through the woods lead out to our beautiful coastline. Picnic areas and campgrounds are also available.

We camped here with our camper trailer. Had a good time. The sites are a little close together. It's a short walk to the Lake Michigan beach, so that was great. There a lots of kids - lots, riding bikes and playing at the playground....More

Beautiful spot for hiking, swimming and picnics. Several hiking trails, stairs with scenic views and dog friendly (with a leash.) One of favorite family spots!

Yes, certain times. Love the trails! The dunes create some shelter from the winds of the lake and the views are breathtaking. I would call The park for specifics.

I would agree with not always but depends time of year. There is lots of hiking & beautiful dunes. Enjoy!

There is a restroom and changing area in the swim beach parking lot. From the parking lot there is a short trek down some stairs (or a ramp) to get to the beach.
