Fernwood is a lovely place to walk a trail, enjoy the gardens, or look at local artists exhibiting in the gallery. People are usually surprised that we have such a gem here in our little community. It's beautiful in every season!

It's been a couple of years since I've been to Fernwood, so I ran it past one of my buddies for a stop on our little sports car fall tours. He was all for it. It was cold the day we stopped for a hike....More

This is a small botanic garden in southwest Michigan. I appreciate the work they are trying to do, but the quality is not high. The garden areas are actually quite small, and most of them are unremarkable. The plants are unlabeled (except in the herb...More

The reason for the 3 Rating instead of the 4 Rating is because my wife and I thought that The Fernwood Botanical Gardens would have more gardens than what they had. We are used to seeing the gardens at the Chicago Botanical Gardens and at...More

We visited on a Saturday morning in June. Many blooms, and several lovely paths to follow. I lingered the longest at the model railroad, which was unique. The actual botanical garden portions were more modest than I expected, however, and we didn't have the time...More

I've been visiting Fernwood for years. I actually just let my "pet" turtle loose in one of their ponds. It's a great place for a relaxing walk or a light lunch. Keep an eye out for Chompy at the pond!

I go to Fernwood at least once every year with my Grandma and I love it! There are several different gardens to choose from, or you could just go to all of them. Among my favorites are the herb garden or the train garden. And...More

A lovely place to spend an afternoon in nature! What you see varies greatly according to the season. The train garden is a special treat when it is operational.

Beautiful in all seasons. Explore the many trails in the tranquil setting. Spy numerous wildlife. Spring and summer bring lovely flowers, fall foliage is amazing and Christmas at Fernwood is always a treat. Great gift shop, too!
