The Lighthouse is beautifully maintained by a team of caring professionals. Their special events such as Lobster Night; Haunted Lighthouse; and Christmas at the Lighthouse are not to be missed. The history of the Lighthouse and of The Great Lakes are presented in story telling...More

There were only a few visitors on this Sunday afternoon in December, so we took our time and really explored the museum. This is an authentic 1858 lighthouse that has been meticulously restored with some very interesting artifacts. The staff had the entire facility decorated,...More

We visited this time during the special haunted lighthouse. It was supposed to be kid friendly and there were just a few things that young children could do. The rest of the tour was too scary for them. But because we had four adults and...More

We’ve Ben to the lighthouse many times but never in October. Leelanau State park is home to the lighthouse. The admission helps maintain it, reasonable for the activity. There are many artifacts and a section on shipwrecks. You are able to go up to the...More

I thought the price was a bit too much, you have to pay to get into the park in addition to entering the museum. Not sure if it was worth it, I wasn't wowed but was not disappointed.

Unlike the other lighthouse, we did go in and up to the TOP of this lighthouse (lol... it's not high at all). You do have to pay a small amount to go in, but they do have a LOT of historical items and information in...More

We drove a long way from Frankfort to the Lighthouse. We did not go inside as it closed at 4pm. No flush toilets, all vault or porta potties. We took a walk on the beach and through the primitive campground. It was an okay trip....More

It was fun to drive up M22 to the tip of the Leelenau Peninsula to see the lighthouse and the lake from the very tip of land. The only downside was the $9 entrance fee which didn't include going inside the lighthouse itself.

The lighthouse is beautiful and worth the drive to go see. There is plenty of parking and the view is very nice from the shoreline.

Really nice out of the way State Park that includes this lighthouse. Museum and gift shop. For $4 (adults) you can tour the lighthouse and walk up to the light. Really nice time. Picnic and play areas available.
