I visited on my own and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and little lake. I explored at my own pace and read about the different installations. Arrangements can be made for a guided tour which must be interesting.

For a nice walk and a step back in history head over toMeroidian Histoeical Village. A good wedding site as well. No activities here, just a collection town buildings being preserved by a little lake.

A lovely little recreated village. The gardens are fabulous and show that the volunteers who tend them really care.

The Meridian Historic Village is very quaint little village. It has realistic depictions and actual historical buildings that have been transplanted to the area. The people that work there have a great deal of information to share with you, too.

It's a great place for kids, who can fish from the dock. The nearby Nokomis Learning Center is a must for everyone interested in Native American history and culture.

This isn't Greenfield Village, but for our area, this is a very quaint collection of history. I see many school groups visiting; it's the perfect size for a small field trip. I would definitely visit.
