My wife and I were walking around Oscoda visiting the cute Ice cream shoppe, the vintage movie theatre and the picturesque beach when we came upon this hidden treasure a few feet from each of the places above. Overall, my wife and I spent over an hour having a great conversation (with Frank and his sister I believe, I hope I remember correctly as they were friendly beyond measure) with the volunteers who set up and run this museum. They only ask for a small donation to enter and you can learn so much about the culture, people and (amazingly huge) events centered here. There's more stuff on Native Americans, Immigrants, military, US history and local oddities packed into one place than I've seen at more established "museums." Truly worth the stop if you're passing through or in town for a bit if you're interested in anything listed above, especially appreciating local history and culture. Many thanks for taking the time and I hope you guys can figure out how to take card as many items in the gift shop are super affordable and unfortunately, I only had a few bucks on me.
