Spring, summer, and fall are all good times to visit Mears State Park. They do a great job of keeping the beach clean and the grounds pleasant for all. You may prefer more space when camping, but you can't beat the great walks along lake...More

This is another state park, like Grand Haven, that I don't get what all the fuss is about. It was recommended to me by someone who camps here every summer, and I'm just thankful I got the chance to check it out before I showed...More

We've been to this park many times but probably won't return because of the staff. Before, our encounters seemed like they really didn't like anyone using the park. But this time I really felt really uncomfortable. We had a large motor home and when we...More

This is a great place to camp. The campsites are all paved and level. It is very close quarters to your neighboring campers. This campground is on the shore of Lake Michigan. The beach and marina are very close. Nice Bathrooms and there is playgrounds.

Stopped by the other day and was impressed with the beach at this state park. The park is within walking distance of downtown and surrounding vacation rental properties. This seems to be a small park with limited parking.

Unfortunately, Mears does not have mini cabins. To see which MI state parks have mini cabins you can do a Google search and the DNR has a list (TripAdvisor will not allow a link in an answer).
