Traveled to the Gaslight District three different times when we were in the area. Lots of high end shops and restaurants and lots of people shopping. Don't miss Cutler's on Michigan and don't miss the Grand Traverse Pie Company on Mitchell. Really wonderful shopping experience!

The Gaslight district has a few shops that offer different and unique items. They also have the usual tourist stores where you can find your sweatshirt or little chachkis. Unfortunately, they have quite a few empty stores too.

Fun shopping and cool restaurants and pubs. A nice eclectic mix of shops and a good variety- not super touristy like done other beach towns.

The shops had a nice range of mid to high end merchandise but appeared to be reasonably priced. There was a great bookstore, many restaurants and a few coffee houses.

Old fashion charm. Polite and friendly every store , nothing was too crowded for July. Quite a variety.

Visiting with family from the east coast, they were reminded of the towns of their home. Enjoyed the variety, the cute park, the good coffee & ambiance of the town. Even the post office was nice. Gorgeous flowers on every porch front.

Yesterday, after a long weekend away, my wife & I returned home to Petoskey; and--tho' the sun wasn't shining much and the leaves were slightly past "peak color"--we greatly enjoyed the long drive from lower Michigan. It... More
