Getting here was quite a challenge. Our GPS was not happy with either the name or the street address and we went in circles for a while. (Interestingly, a loudspeaker announcement as we were leaving mentioned that the address had been changed to Port Street.)...More

This was a nice stop in Port Huron. Nice view of the river and you can see Canada across. Learned a little bit. But the building is small and doesn't have too much inside. Definitely a quick stop along the river walk.

I was disappointed upon entering the Maritime Center at Vantage Point. Although it displayed maritime items and artifacts, it was more like a café. The A/C was cold that I could not stay in the building very long. The Maritime Center had restrooms that were...More

Did not actually tour facility as was closed by time of arrival. However the outside grounds along the water was very nice with plenty of seating for picnics, benches facing the water and even an outdoor fireplace for those cool evenings. We came for the...More

Perfect venue to enjoy some delicious coffee and maybe a doughnut or two while watching the freighters go by. There's always a knowledgable volunteer on hand to announce the ships details and history. The display of historical photos and memoribelia really takes you back to...More

Yup. Dogs allowed. We've taken ours a few times. They love it! You can let them swim too at the small beaches along the path.
