The Port Huron Museum Carnegie Center is housed in a 1904 Carnegie Library in downtown Port Huron, just south of the Black River. The main floor hosts various special exhibits, 3-4 times per year. The marine gallery has one of the best model ship collections in the state of Michigan and an actual pilot house from a freighter. The mezzanine and other areas are rich in local heritage displays.

Great place to take a family in Port Huron for an afternoon of learning and fun. Port Huron Museum has a maritime display that has intrigued me since I was a child. You and your family won't be disappointed with a visit to this attraction.

There is not a lot to see, but from a distance both the previous bore and the current tunnel under the St. Clair River to Ontario can be seen. To realize the tunnel is a "first" and that it is still used is impressive.

I have visited the museum with my grand children and they were very appreciative of the great items displayed and the interaction they could do with the displays. Our town is better off because of this venue and the people operating it. Thanks Museum.

Spent the day in Port Huron, and decided to check out the museum. Glad we did. It doesn't take that long, and has some interesting pieces. We purchased a package ticket that got us into 4 different attractions, so the price is minimal.
