Easy zoo to walk . If not stopping to look All animals I can get nice 45 min cardio walk in fresh air. Definitely walkable zoo sad the must sees are the polar bear exhibit and new penguin home .

Love the penguin house. There is a path where you can walk and learn about the kangaroos up close. One of Detroit’s greatest assets

It was a very educational visit. Loads of animals displayed appropriately. The train ride is great if you can stand the rather long line to board. Have fun.

As folks have said there are some indoor exhibits but you should know the Detroit Zoo was designed as a natural habitat so it is mostly outdoors. The good news is that as a supporting member I can come and go without paying... More
