Very nice campground!

Spent a weekend camping with our group. We had sites in the south campground witch were very nice. Our lot was nice and spacious with a paved pad. Only issue we had with the... read more

My family visits Lakeport State Park several times per year. (One camping trip in the fall as well as several day visits to the beach in the summer.) I've visited several state park campgrounds, and Lakeport is by far my family's favorite. In the summer time, we travel apx 1 hour from Metro Detroit to visit Lakeport's "day use area"... More

We stayed here with our kids and grandkids for two nights, in the cabins. We took the log cabin on the water and one of the smaller ones. Log cabin is small, but efficient. The other cabin was good for extra sleeping space, but way too tiny for a long-stay as far as we're concerned. Also the cement block walls... More

Great local (near the Detroit metro area)campground, fairly clean bathhouse, lots of people coming and going. Not as great as most other state parks we've been to but still nice.

This was our first time visiting this park. All grass sites, huge, many pull-throughs. The campground has two sections: north- has playground equipment and some views of the water; south- has paved sites, more secluded and a bit farther to the beach. Beach on south end is less open.

Spent a weekend camping with our group. We had sites in the south campground witch were very nice. Our lot was nice and spacious with a paved pad. Only issue we had with the campground is the wiring is a little out of date. The main breaker couldn't handle all the power our row was pulling so it was tripped... More

Just spent 3 nights at Lakeport for the 2nd time and this is such a wonderful place for families. The sites are enormous compared to most parks we've visited plus it's flat and grassy!!! Grass is so underrated especially after a heavy downpour. We had a great view of Lake Huron. I can't stress the importance of having a park... More

We camp here on a regular basis since we only live about 10 miles away. There are two sides to the campground and the south end has paved and wider sites. The north side is closer to the beach and can feel a bit more busy because of it's easy access to the water. The park also offers a nice,... More

A nice quiet beach, very rocky when walking into the water, so bring water shoes. Bathrooms are clean.

Nice little beach. It is rocky so bring water shoes as most of these beaches are on Lake Huron. Water is clean.

We stayed at the local B&B and decided to take a walk along the lake and we came across the park. So we walked through the campground and like the peace and quiet it has to offer. We actually took down our favorite site numbers for when we come back.
