If you want to know more about early settlement of Michigan, this is a great place to stop. It is very well maintained and very informative.

Beautiful scenery and a nice informational display. Off the beaten track. If you are looking to take a nice walk and have time on your hands, then worth the stop. Otherwise, I would use the time for other area attractions.

Father Marquette was one of the first Christian missionaries in the area c1673 and he paved the way for others to come. His work with the various indigenous people of the area earned him great respect.

The walking trails have great educational signage along them perfect for children and adults. The trails also have multiple bridge observation points the park offers ample parking and clean bathrooms.

Make sure you come before the season is over or everything will be closed . Was able to look at part of the Memorial , but not all of it

There isn't a lot to see, but it's worth a stop. You'll find Father Marquette tributes and info in several places in and around Mackinac Island.
