The Straits State Park is not fancy, but the location is wonderful, Campsites are fine, often dirt or gravel drive. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. The best feature is the location in St. Ignace. Great Pasties and a short drive to the ferries. The...More

Grab as many family, friends, and kids as you can find and book some sites! This is like state park mardi gras, with bikes and scooters and walking. Sometimes you want something quiet and remote, and sometimes you do not. This is a park for...More

We spent 3 nights at the campground. I had chosen a 'full shade' lot and it sure was. It is very clean and has an excellent view of the Mackinac Bridge. It has a couple hiking trails and we put them to good use. The...More

Very nice campground with some sites right on the water. Sites located on the water are more private. Sites located farthest from the water are surrounded my trees and shade. Inside sites (between roads) look smaller and like partying row. Bathrooms and showers are old,...More

When it rains it is sandy and muddy at your site. The sites are a little tight getting into but still better then average once you are settled. It is convenient to stores restaurants and ferries.

The state park here was very clean and organized. The staff did a really nice job getting us checked in and to our site. We utilized the viewing platform of the bridge both during the day and night time hours and it was spectacular. We...More

We spent 2 nights here in June, while visiting the area to celebrate our anniversary. With the exception of the neighbors that insisted on encroaching on our site (which was already small) the 2nd night, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and answered...More
