A very nice pocket size historical museum for Saugatuck and Douglas, but the focus is more on Saugatuck. It also has a nice little gift shop.

The museum is staffed with passionate volunteers & has wonderful photos from the area's history. Unless you are aware of the history, you wouldn't know about the buried city of Singapore. Very easy way to spend some time.

Well done and informative. Lovely grounds including a strong informational message regarding the ills of water pollution. Right up this biology teacher's alley :) The interior display focused on local history which was really nifty. New style history museum too!

Taking the chain ferry and visiting the museum could be a half day experience. Something you should do at least once.

A new exhibit entitled Cold War, Hot Towns just opened at this museum across from the foot of Mt. Baldhead. It boasts one of the best public viewing spots in town, with views up and down the river. Nice gardens. The exhibit fits in one...More
