I go there at least once a week to hike in the woods. I saw a Bald Eagle, Osprey, turkeys among other assorted critters the other day. Last September my brother and I saw a Great Gray Owl. In the summer I ride the 6+mile loop around the lake. They have a great beach with water park, boats to rent,... More

Nice park, with a lot to do and many picnic areas. I went to this park for the first time the other day. I like to walk wooded trails with my dog. My complaint would be, you are not allowed to take your dog on the nature trails near the nature center. I understand people want to get the "nature... More

If hiking is your thing then don't miss the inwood lake trails north of the main park. The rustic camping is great and makes for a great place to practice hiking. You can pretty much stay on trail almost to the camp ground. It really offers some fine diverse hiking terrain with small elavation changes.

We came here occasionally to walk the dog at first, we enjoyed it so much that we bought a yearly pass. This is a good place were a family with children can still relax and have a good time. Good pinic areas, good fishing, good hiking, good concerts in summer.

Stony Creek is a great park to visit to ride a bike, hang out on the beach by the lake, play with your kids in wide open spaces. If you get a chance to visit, you should!

This metro park gets very crowded at the peak of summer, so we enjoy it more in the early spring and fall. The bike/walking/skating trail rings the lake and takes about two hours to walk. Lots of scenery changes, deer to make it interesting.

Our favorite place in our area. We visited here in February when the weather broke. It's so special and nice to go over there and feel like we got away even though we are only a mile or so away from home. The only thing the park needs to get down is for people with season passes they should get... More

Very beautiful & a great place to walk the dog. Whether you want to stay on the main path, or want to venture off into the woods or by the lake, there is beautiful scenery and lost of space.
