My sweet little Dutch grandmother (whether we visited her or she visited us) always had tea (Red Rose - Canadian version) hot in a pot for us. Also she always had the little colored sprinkles or chocolate sprinkles you put on hot buttered toast (or Rusk) for us to eat (breakfast, lunch, snack, whenever). And then there were the Wilhelmina... More

I know it's Christmas and we are supposed to be cheery and kind, but, this was our first time ordering from Vander Veen's after years of using other companies with Dutch products, and what a holiday disappointment. I placed two orders via phone as their web site was down on December 9th, which included Paling, Dried Beef, Gouda and other... More

We have been ordering from here for 10 years. Our first time "actually" here today. Such a cute, clean well stocked Dutch store. We walked out this 2 bags of food. They had Kroketten, Biterballen, Snoep, koffie, Tea. They have "Delfs blauw" collection that is amazing. Very nice store and very helpful staff.

Lots of food, desserts, coffee and Dutch themed gifts.. Not a lot of seating. Usually low traffic mid-day.

If you like gouda then you should go here at least once. They have many options including some aged gouda's that are awesome. Also the licorice selection is amazing and it is fun to look at the delftware. :)

A "must stop" if you are in the area and are craving Dutch goodies. If it is made in Holland, you can probably find it here. They have many varieties of foods and treats. Be sure to check out the genuine wooden shoes and the fun, soft, slipper and garden versions of the classic shoes. I like the windmill cookies... More

For a touch of the old country, visit Vander Veen's Dutch Store. From the quaint souvenirs to the tasty Dutch chocolate, licorice and cheese, a visit here is like entering a Dutch treasure trove of wonder. You can even buy a pair of soft, squishy, wooden shoe slippers. I love this place!

Whenever in area, we visit VanderVeens's to get our cookies, chocolate, and mints. Often, they will have a sale that will make a smile turn into a grin. They will serve you complimentary rich Dutch coffee too, with a cookie if you like. A pleasant pastime.

This is a store well worth just coming in to wander around if you need a good Dutch fix. It carries, of course, all the specifically Dutch foods you could want. In fact, you can sit down at a table with a cup of Dutch tea and a spekulaas (windmill) cookie, taking a rest from your shopping. Then there's the... More
