Nice park. Clean and well taken care of. Good geocache, different than other state park geocaches. Nice walk thru the bog. Friendly staff.

We visited for the weekend. There are several camping spots in their campground, I believe around 90. We mainly stayed at our campsite and along the beach. Tried to do some fishing but didn't get any bites. The beach is nice and wide. They have a nice playground for kids to play. I believe the website said 12 miles of... More

I love BSP as you can camp, hike, swim, bike, enjoy events, have seclusion and privacy or join the hikes or informational groups. Its wooded with plenty of natures critters and has a sandy beach for swimming plus great fishing. Its not hard to find nor miles and miles out of the way. Nice.

We visited this on our goal of visiting all the Minnesota State Parks. We came to get the passport stamp, the Wildflower Geocache, and complete the Hiking Club Trail. We accomplished all 3 things and more. This is a great park that shouldn't be overshadowed by the nearby Itasca State Park. The Hiking Club trail takes you across a road... More

This park is one of Minnesota's real jems. I live in bemidji and visit the park sometimes weekly. The camping areas great. Looks like everyone has just the right amount of space for their stay. The park is great, plenty of scenery and activities. You really couldn't ask for much of a better beach, and the beach is plenty big.... More

We only had a bit of time, but ventured around a trail that meandered through oaks, maples and aspen. Wide grassy snowmobile trail was easy hiking. As the trail narrowed along the lake, it was still relatively easy. Leaf color was past peak, but the woods were still beautiful, letting dappled light through. We stayed in the areas identified by... More
