READ THIS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GO TO BUNKER BEACH! $6 to park. There’s always a line to get in. And not just any line...an hour wait on cement with no shade, bathroom, and access to water. It was 90+ degrees the day we went and the ambulance came several times due to people passing out. Hey Bunker Beach...how about providing shade, a porta- potty, water stations, a sprinkler people can run through? Every pool closes every hour for 20+ min. Not sure why, but it was more waiting in the heat on hot cement. Like whistles? I hope so, because you’ll hear one every 20 seconds (no exaggeration). The arrogant, whistle-happy lifeguards will bust you if you’re walking too fast, sitting on ledges, having an inner tub, not having an inner tub, standing in the wrong spot, having too much fun, not having fun. It was ridiculous!! Good luck finding a locker or figuring out how to buy one ($10). I had to keep my wallet under a lawn chair praying no one would steel it. Tip: don’t bring any valuables in the park. You cannot bring in your own food so be prepared to wait in line for an hour for their overpriced concession stand food. Lots and lots of waiting. Along with seeing pools and water slides, you’ll also see tons of used bandaids, dirty diapers, and trash on the ground AND in the water. There’s not a lot of things to do so it gets boring fast. Staff are worthless. Park is dirty, over priced, and not conducive to safety. When we left, there was a news crew filming about the three people who left in an ambulance due to dehydration. There are so many other places to go to in the Twin Cities, don’t waste your time and money here.

Get the annual pass
Sep 2019
Our teen enjoys going here frequently with friends. Patrons are decent and although has not had a remodel in awhile (planned for 2020) seems to be well maintained and popular.

We opted for the annual pass as it is a good deal if you plan to go more than a few times.

Summer Cardio Club is a great idea and very popular
Aug 2019 • Friends
Although available for a couple of years, the Cardio Club at Bunker Beach Water Park was new to me this past summer. What an enjoyable way to get in some exercise! Several days each week the staff opens the lazy river prior to normal opening times to be used by those looking to walk the river. During normal hours the river is used with inner tubes for floating. During Cardio Club we walk in the approximately waist high river, either with the current for a milder workout or against the current for a more vigorous walk. Entrance for this activity was $3 this past 2019 season which ran from mid June to late August. Participants then leave the park prior to standard opening time. I found the water clean, the river challenging, and the park attractive. Music plays through overhead speakers and it varies as to genre. The staff are friendly, but a bit pushy when it comes time to leave, understandably as they need to quickly get prepared for dozens of children and families arriving shortly. This is a very fun activity, but too short, as is the Minnesota summer.

water was perfect staff and concessions not so much
Aug 2019
wave pol and slides awesome kids had a wonderful time while we floated around on tubes in the lazy river fantastic, I wish i could say the same for the staff and concessions stood in line for nearly a hour waiting to order overpriced under cooked burgers while some delay was due by kids in line letting friends and other family members cut the line with no regard to others in line behind them to the nonsense of the workers in the concession stand i counted 7 staff members just standing around waiting for the cash register person to tell one of them to grab the item ordered which happened to be a candy right in front of the register

Fun for everyone!
Sep 2019
We visited the water park on labor day and was super fun. Kids will love this place! You can easily spend 3-4 hours.

1.The grounds are kept very clean.
2.Lifeguards on duty are were vigilant making sure everyone is following the rules.
3.Staff seemed very friendly and informative.
4.Playzone area for kids is awesome! Wave pool, lazy river and slides were so much fun.
5.Plenty of tubes were available and the entrance fee seemed reasonable.
6.Lines moved very quickly and there was no wait time.
7.Plenty of chairs to relax.
8.Lots of parking spaces available and it is free of charge.

Overall, fantastic experience and we will visit the water park again!

Fun time
Jul 2019 • Family
We took a roadtrip with this kids and stopped here to check it out. From an adult perspective, the lazy river is really cool. The wave pool was also neat but we were fortunate to go on a day that wasn't extremely crowded bcuz I could see that being an issue. The wave pool does the waves for 15 minutes and stops for 10 allowing people do just be able to swim. Bathrooms were gross but with all those kids and water, I can see why. Waterpark is worth checking out!

Lots of fun for everyone!
Jul 2019 • Family
Staff was friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs, which can be hard sometimes. Pool temperatures were just right. Kids enjoyed the water slides. This is something to consider when looking for more than a pool but not quite Valleyfair.

Fun Cardio Club in the summer months
Aug 2018 • Family
Watch the website for the cardio club offering! The lazy river is open before the water park opens so adults can walk against the current several days of the week. This is an amazing opportunity for community members to get some great exercise at a very reasonable rate.
