The only aquarium in the U.S. that focuses on freshwater exhibits, this three-story waterfront structure is ready for public viewing after a year and a half and almost $34 million. Plenty of interactive exhibits and re-created habitats are fun and educational for children.

Free parking in the January (probably because no one will sit in the little booth and freeze). Ask for a discount when you get inside because the ticket people are nice and warm. A little pricey for the size of the aquarium. Enjoyed the otter feeding at 11am. Very active pair of otters and a decent presentation by Emma. Emma... More

If you love fresh water fish than this is the place to go!. The aquariums are very impressive in size and they have a good variety of things to see and do. My kids love the pet a fish area where they have sturgeon in a smaller tank to get up close and personal with. The price is a little... More

We typically visit aquariums on our trips. This aquarium has both fresh and salt water exhibits, though most are related to the Great Lakes or the Amazon River. My son is 10 and enjoyed the sturgeon touch tank most! Snowflake was quite friendly. We were on our way up to the Gunflint Trail so this was a nice break from... More

This is always a fun place to go with kids. They loved the fish and they even have a new exhibit and the kids got to touch a fish. Made for an extra fun time.

Feeding time at 11am by divers was neat to watch. Divers interacted with the kids through the glass, and program narration was good. The sizes of several freshwater fish blew us away. We got discount tickets through the hotel we stayed at. Parking was an extra $5. But if you park at the aquarium, you can spend all day on... More

Very overpriced and the looks on the outside do not match up with the inside content. We have been to much more involved and more to see. It seemed like it was being repaired inside. Spent less than 1 hr inside, saw everything and scratched our heads at the $67 price for 4 people.

Paid $5 for parking, $17/ person for a ticket to see very minimal amount of aquatic animals. The aquarium is more like a museum for Duluth rather than an aquarium. One time to visit is plenty. Will not be coming back.
