Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

Walking along the Lake Walk or window shopping along the street, strangers actually greet you and smile! It's a fun place to shop around, whether you're in the market for "touristy" gifts, candy, or antiques. Plenty of places to stop and have a bite and...More

A great place to take in the view and do a little shopping. Plenty of food options all around. I do not recommend Grandma's though, a let down.

We love canal park. From walking out to the lighthouse, watching the lift bridge rise and fall, witnessing ships departure to visiting the Lake Superior Maritime Museum, it sets the tone for the power and majesty if the Big Lake. ❤️

The Lake-walk is always great and we enjoy it every time we visit the canal. Our issue is the parking! Not enough of it and what is in the area is expensive and the Duluth police seem to enjoy giving the tickets....they seem to cruise...More

Just at the entrance of the canal, you'll find an electronic board that shows the ships that are entering and leaving the port that day, where they are from, what they are carrying, and how long they are. There's also a worker who announces the...More

Surrounded by shops and restaurants, this is the main tourist area in Duluth. Great to just walk around and learn some history, watch huge ships come in and grab something to eat.

We got more than we expected with our recent visit to Canal Park. We went in the evening to see the light houses, but found a flurry of activity. From horse drawn carriage rides, to open air restaurants, street vendors and the beautiful lights on...More

I don't believe that Tall Ships Duluth is an event held every year, it seems that it is every 2-3 years on the Great Lakes. Duluth was 2013, and 2016.
