History comes alive on the Lakefront line of the North Shore Scenic Railroad! During our summer season several trains a day depart the historic Duluth Union Depot for a trip through downtown Duluth, Canal Park, along the shore of Lake Superior and deep into the majestic north woods. Fully narrated tours tell the history of Duluth, the harbor, and the stories of the railroads that built northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

This is a bit pricey but then what isn't? The kids loved the ambiance of the train and being able to walk around and see all the sights. We are going to make another trip back again this summer.

I doubt it and didn't see any dogs. The staff and volunteers at the Railroad are very approachable and would be able to answer your question by e-mail or phone
