I grew up fishing this river with my grandfather, father and brothers so I am probably biased I admit, but I love this little scenic river. It is a great fishery and runs right through very cool little Lanesboro.

We biked toward Preston the afternoon we arrived, then towards Whalan the next morning, then FROM Whalan that afternoon. All good !

We drove to Lanesboro just for the bike ride. It was very enjoyable. It offered a good view of local flora. The trail is in satisfactory condition. Some paces were tree roots has raised the trail making it a little bumpy. Not a problem just...More

My husband is an experienced, fit bicyclist. I am not. We both enjoyed the ride. After hearing so much about the trail we were surprised we couldn't see more river. Lots of farm fields! Good flat 15 miles for me from Lanesboro to Peterson ....More

Beautiful area-lots of activities, including cycling, kayaking, and tubing. Leaves already starting to turn in mid-August.
