Well now I know what Minneopa means after seeing the fantastic DOUBLE waterfall! Nice and clean area. Fun walks and a very enjoyable time. Bison was fun to see and trails are very well marked.

Minneopa State Park has beautiful falls and walking trails. If you don't want to camp, this is still worth the trip - bring food - spend part of the day! In fact, when we were there this past weekend, there was a wedding getting set...More

There is a shared wheelbarrow for bringing belongings to the camp sites that are further away. I wish we would have known that, or that there was more than one. The bison on the drive were great. For as wooded as it was there were...More

We stayed in the group campsite site.trains came through all night blowing their horns. You can hear cars from the road. Not a great outdoor experience. No flush toilets, shower area was not what I am use to at a state park.

Great time, mosquitoes not hardly present, campsite was good and campground in good order. Some wet areas as of previous rains. Bison were present but at a distance. The falls were great and flowing. First time visit, not the last.

Easy paved walk to Falls. A longer riverside hike if you want to go to the base. Bathroom facility and shelter. Great for kids.

We loved the waterfalls and walking trails surrounding the area. The buffalo preserve was a great educational resource. Unfortunately the mosquitos were so thick we couldn't do much hiking around mill/overlook area. The campground was on the smaller side and there were many sites damaged...More

We enjoy going to this park, it's just we don't go often. The waterfalls and walking paths are always a fun thing to do. There are lots of viewing benches and picnic tables. Next time, we will bring a picnic!

Near the river they are pretty bad. In fact we were warned to avoid the Confluence trail because of them. On the Hiking Club trail they weren't bad near the beginning along the bison enclosure, but were fairly nasty back... More

No there is not, the water has algae issues and they do not recommend going in, plus the water moves very fast.
