Prohibition – what a pleasant surprise, not easy to find, but worth the hunt. Enter the W Minneapolis (the Foshay Tower built in 1929) and take the super cool elevator up to the 27th floor & behold = The Best 360 Bar View in the City. There are multiple rooms, including a loft, each with its own character but all... More

As usual W made a hotspot out of a very old an interesting building. The bar itself was crowded but you were able to buy yourself in a VIP area with more space. The service was very attentive and the price range not too crazy. Some very interesting champagnes on the menu. Definitely one of the places to be if... More

I happened to find this joint by accident and decided to take the elevator to the 27th floor. This floor once was (if I understand correctly) was a business office and residence. I recommend a wiki search, the history is very interesting. The elevators open right across from the small bar and there may be a line up depending on... More

The downfall of an old building is that the window line is not good. I was disappointed, as you go to a bar at the top of a building, and would expect amazing views. The problem is the building was the first skyscraper in Minneapolis, and the window line is terrible. I was also disappointed, as they could have played... More

A swanky speakeasy on the 27th floor of the W hotel. The cushy chairs and intimate seating make it a great place to bring a date or to have a bit of a deeper discussion with friends. They are known for their cocktails, but have beer and wine as well.

My husband and I stopped here for an after-dinner drink on my birthday and it was the perfect spot. I had a few friends recommend it by, "We can't tell you about it, you just have to go!" And they were right! Step back in time and have a fun drink while overlooking the city! I had a drink called... More

The 27th floor of the Foshay tower has been transformed into a magical environment of the 1920's. The best cocktail I have ever had (though expensive) was enjoyed in their cozy and romantic atmosphere. It was packed with patrons and we felt lucky to find a cozy space to enjoy in one of the rooms.

I love speakeasy/mixology bars and visit them in every city I go to. When I heard about this place I was sold. I was very disappointed to find they did not even make craft cocktails. They make the same mixed drinks you would find at any bar. An old fashion I ordered they used a sugar packet. They muddled cherries... More

I love Prohibition. The views are wonderful. The staff is also wonderful. I look forward to seeing Peter and Mike every time I go. I actually like this place so much I am having a birthday gathering there. The apps are delicious.

Not exactly the liveliest place you could hang out. It's not really a place I would go to unless I was staying at the hotel.
