You'll definitely want to take a walk across the Stone Arch Bridge to view St. Anthony Falls. It's not a natural waterfall anymore. That collapsed back in 1869. It's a lock and dam that is very much worth a visit. The area is full of...More

We walked along the riverside passsing old grist mills. Some signage along the way helped put the buildings into historical perspective. Then approaching the falls was phenomenal.

Walked across the pedestrian/bicycle bridge near St. Anthony Falls. Beautiful scenery, great views of the Minneapolis skyline, flour mill ruins, Pillsbury power plant and east and west bank Minneapolis. Please consider taking a stroll/ride across the river if in the area.

Take a short stroll on the Old Stone Arch Bridge to enjoy views of the Falls, the Locks, historic mills, and the skyline. Definitely worth the time to walk on the old railroad bridge that is now for pedestrians only. No charge.

So much activity at this place. A wonderful bridge over the Mississippi River allows for a beautiful view to do your thing- even dog friendly.

We enjoyed a walk near St. Anthony Falls on a beautiful day. The only charge is for parking which is nearby. Great view and a nice way to spend a small part of the day.

Beautiful historic scenery - bridges, waterfall, parks, industrial museums and a bit of lively night life at the other side of the river

The area is another pretty walk and can be accessed from the skyways if the weather does not cooperate. I recommend a visit to Boom Island, Betty Dangers, the Stone Arch Bridge and Saint Anthony Main theaters while you are in the area.

Check out these urban falls from the nearby Stone Arch pedestrian bridge. Extra impressive after rains when Mississippi is running fast.
