First visit to Minneapolis to see an NFL game. Getting around was so easy using the Skyway. Didn't need to wear a heavy winter coat while shopping eating/drinking out so that was a plus.

We rolled into Town in shorts (me) & t-shirts during the way above average Temp spike in November, Balmy Weather had by all ! But I can really see how the Skyway System are a necessity in this frigid part of the world ! I'm afraid on our first try we got a bit lost as we turned ,up ,... More

What a great idea and way to keep people warm in the cold winter. It looks like a maze and can lead you to every direction. Be sure to explore it even in a warm day.

We were in Minneapolis when the high for the weekend was zero, one day it was 10 below. Our hotel had direct access to the Skyway and we used it whenever possible. It truly kept us from freezing, but be aware that it is open only certain hours each day, after a certain time it is not accessible (my son... More

You can get almost anywhere via the Skyway. Once you got it figured out its a snap. It would benefit from a walking tour and a mileage marking system if you are in there for the exercise.

I've been to other cities that think they have skyways, Minneapolis is a fabulous internal glass coridore that allows you to go most anywhere downtown.

We stayed downtown to attend a Timberwolves game on Saturday, December 17. It was well below zero that night. Used the Skyway System to walk from the Hilton to the Target Center, all inside, nice, just wearing a sweatshirt. On the way back, got to the IDS Center, half way back, and the found Skyway System locked. Spotted a security... More

What a fun way to maneuver throughout the city. Lots of people watching, shopping and eating along the way.

Quite a unique and incredible experience - navigating your way around the skyway. The Minneapolis Skyway System is the world's largest continuous system - 8 miles and connecting 69 blocks in downtown. It should be included in the list of modern marvels when it comes to architectural design. A fun mixture of unique art work, unusual shops and boundless food... More

The Skyway is a great asset. We thought that we would have to walk in 18 below temperatures but was very please to learn the Skyway system.
