My daughters, wife and I often bike on the greenway and around the cities lakes. I highly recommend a casual bike trip around Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet and Lake of the Isles while seeing Minneapolis via the Greenway. If you forget to bring a bike...More

Free to use paved bike trail. Most bikers are nice and you feel safe on this trail because there are many bikers and walkers using this trail. No homeless people noticed on this trail.

Converted train line, this used to be a desolate area with crime and graffiti. It's now well lit, safe and offers a very smooth ride. Look for little restaurants and bike shops along the route.

The greenway is a great experience for any level of biker. You can connect to many other bike trails and go for 1 - 40 mile bike ride.

I've used the Midtown Greenway many times with my own bike or with the easy to use Minneapolis bike share program. This trail connects the "always busy" Uptown section to south Minneapolis and beyond.

This is both commuting bikeway and a great place to experience biking without a great amount of exertion as it is almost level. Great exercise and a great way to get a sense of the neighborhoods it passes through.

We had a great time on the Greenway! We enjoyed seeing great urban planning, and it was a convenient way to get quickly to the chain of lakes area. Very well maintained as well.
