We rented kayaks on Calhoun and paddled around the Lake of the Isles for an hour. Beautiful, serene lake. Lots of turtles and wildlife around. The lake is also great to walk or bike. They have a very nicely maintained path.

This lake is so wonderful to walk around. The path is sort of beaten down in some spots, but for the most part it's the most un-used of the 3 big chain of lakes and is very enjoyable to walk around.

This lake and the houses surrounding it are gorgeous! It's about 2.59 miles around so it's perfect for running or walking. You can park on the street. Don't miss when in Minneapolis!

A must see for my out of town visitors. This lake is surrounded by beautiful homes, and has bike and walking paths all around. My husband and I have enjoyed canoeing this lake and the two lakes that connect with it.

This is a nice small lake to walk around in Minneapolis. Scenic and parts have lovely weeping willow trees.

Part of the Minneapolis Parks Grand Rounds. Great lake for a leisurely stroll or bike ride around the lake. Also great for a canoe or kayak paddle. (Not good for swimming. For swimming just go across Lake Street to Bad Maka Ska.

There's free parking around the whole lake. Usually no problem finding a spot and you can start anywhere around the lake.
