I used to bring my lunch here, sit on the steps and enjoy myself. I haven't been here for a while. The fountain and pool have been shut down and drained of water. The flower beds are ok, but not maintained the best. The trees provide some nice shade. There are still tables and chairs to use. They have activities... More

Used to be a haven for downtown, outside, city life (fountains, reflection pools, waterfalls, ice rink, grandstand, meditation spot, etc.), but has also become tired. Orchestra Hall has been revamped, but Peavy Plaza has been left behind. Needs a new water system, copper pipes, cleaning & gratitude by citizens.

Live music during the summer. Visually pleasing. Take note of all the colorful characters you will see on the Nicollet Mall side. If you are lucky you will see an actual arrest made by the Minneapolis or Metro Transit Police.

Peavey Plaza is a nationally recognized award-winning landscape. It is the first park plaza of its kind in the U. S. The magnificent water fall and the water that cascades, flows and stands is the most outstanding feature. A tree-filled water park with a descent into a basin-like area, Peavey Plaza is a remarkable escape into an oasis away from... More

Listen to music there in the summer, and enjoy the farmer's market too. We got married there ... it is a public park, so all we needed was a (free) city permit. I'm so happy with my choice.

Not really much to see here, unless you like observing pan-handlers. This concrete monstrosity would seem more in place in cold-war Russia than downtown Minneapolis. It also has not been maintained terribly well. So, unless you are shooting an amateur reboot of 'A Clockwork Orange" bypass Peavey Plaza and see one of the hundreds of awesome places in the Twin... Unfortunately this place is going to be torn down, so it wasn't looking its best.

Should be shut down due to it being used as homeless/99% housing. These people are ruining the park for others.

This is one perk of working downtown! So much fun stuff happening here regularly. Nice to have a park in the middle of business

I love Peavy Plaza during Summerfest. There is so much life on that end of the Nicollet Mall, with open air music, outdoor seating and great people watching. Fun for people of all ages.
