It's so nice to live as close to the Midtown Market as I do. It's great to get there and find fresh tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, onions and potatoes and to be challenged by who has the best produce at the best prices. It's nice to go to the Wisconsin Cheese stand once in a while and get a bag of... More

Wasn't expecting anything really. Went on a Saturday morning. The place was pretty packed. Lots of fun booths with people selling their national wears. Good place to buy international foods. Just happened to be a mexican band playing that day. Fun atmosphere.

This was our first trip to Minneapolis and by any ‘city’ standards the streets appeared to be deserted. So we were thinking; where were all the people until we realised that everyone hops from one building to another on the ‘skywalks’ or can be found in the Midtown Market area. Happily we just stumbled on this public market on an... More

We like this place because of variety of good quality ethnic food and fun stores. It is also good pace for children.

The Midtown Farmers Market has gorgeous tomatoes of all kinds, purple potatoes, red carrots, onions and anything green remotely in season. Oh yes, and corn and squash and pumpkins. Try Nathan's lefse, Moses's ground cherries and treats from the Magic Bus. Oh yes, chocolate treats from BlackOnyx on Tuesdays. Saturdays there are Italian style pastries by African immigrants who trained... More

This is a great neighborhood farmer's market- there is lots of produce (all from MN and WI), live music, and special events. There are 30-40 vendors, but it is not as crowded as a lot of bigger markets. Parking is easy, and it is right by the Lake street LRT stop. Check out their website for more information: (-)
