Sadly this was closed when we were in town for the day, but it was worth a stop just to take a photo with the Vincent Van Bison (as I call him) statue outside. It's a bison... read more

If you are in the mood and looking for unique art from artists from around the region, check out the Rourke Gallery. There is a variety of pieces shown in an unique setting, complete with the quiet of time seeming to not be a factor. We need more quiet in our lives, and we need to spend more time just... More

The Rourke is a very small museum, but a perfect example of quality over quantity. The Rourke is excellent at curating collections made by local artists. The exhibit that I took in was that of Mackenzie Kouba, with her moody and dynamic oil-on-giant-canvas masterpieces. no leadership presence there any more, the shows do not change often enough and are poor quality, local artists mostly ignored.

The art exhibits were very good! Great talent! The building itself is old and interesting and makes a very nice space for a gallery. Not very expensive! A great value for the money!!

Sadly this was closed when we were in town for the day, but it was worth a stop just to take a photo with the Vincent Van Bison (as I call him) statue outside. It's a bison statue in the style of Van Gogth that looks like him, wounded ear and all.

I was here for a retirement party and LOVED this place. Perfect for a quick look or lingering. Catering food was very good and the building was gorgeous!

A unique Art gallery housed in a home, full of character, built in the 1800's. Offers a great selection of local and regional art. Definitely worth a stop!
