We spent an afternoon at the park. The fire tower is a highlight but the climb to the top is challenging. Historical sites and walking trails are excellent. The fall colors were beautiful - oaks, maples and aspen. We plan on going back again!

We could not stay--the bugs were taking out big chunks of flesh, flying into our eyes and ears etc. Left after 10 minutes.

We have reservations at Kathio in July and I have been hearing how bad the biting flies, mosquitoes are. We plan to do canoeing and kayaking, were they bad everywhere in the park or just the woods?

We noticed them the most in the woods. They drove us into the trailer around sundown.
