Rochester isn't a big city, but the art center will make you feel like you've stepped into a New York art exhibit. They offer classes and have an outdoor event each year as well as an annual auction that's a blast. But whenever you visit, you'll be treated to incredible art in an inspiring space. Check it out.

Great place for a wedding reception. Glass windows overlook river and city of Rochester. Parking ramps in close proximity.

The Rochester Art Center is in a very cool building right on the Zumbro Rver in Rochester, MN. They have a number of rotating exhibits, and tend to focus on engaging the community with both changing content and programs to encourage people of all ages to be more engaged with art. We saw a very cool exhibit by Judy Onofrio,... More

was just there over the weekend, due to the huge remodel they are undergoing and a turn over period in exhibits, they only had one exhibit open. Admission was free because of it. Very friendly staff and a beautiful space right on the Zumbro river. Beautiful grounds and walking path next to the river.

This is a beautiful facility, but it functions more as an event center than as an art center. They have a few art exhibits going at any given time. These tend to be interesting and well curated. But that is pretty much it. They offer very few classes and most of the space is left empty to accommodate events. It... More

We came here for a free Family Day event and I am so glad it was free. Maybe I am just not "hip" enough to appreciate the modern art, but I found the displays to be extremely strange. Even my 8 year old "artiste" was not impressed. I guess I expected more.

I have yet to find anything here that makes a visit worthwhile. They don't seem to have a collection of any sort, and the exhibits seem hit or miss. It's free on Thursdays, but last time I was there on a Thursday the place had litter everywhere, blank walls, and hardly anything to look at. If I'd paid to get... More

We had our wedding reception here, and although there is some construction around the building, none of the beautiful views were obstructed. The staff at the Art Center made our wedding reception run so smoothly; they were wonderful to work with. The venue itself is gorgeous, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river and a beautiful park. Our guests... More

This multi-level art center focuses on Modern and Contemporary Art. Also provides art classes and event venues such as wedding receptions and dances.

The ARTBASH 2014 fundraiser was a blast! Three bands, delicious food, and a great vibe. Meeting the artist at the Emerging Artist Opening and viewing the Michael Sailstorfer Exhibition, that same night, was a real treat. Be sure to check the calendar so you don't miss up coming exhibition openings, programs, like Stetch!, and other events which will expand your... More
