We snow shoed up river from the High 1 bridge. The snow was deep and a blast to wade through. We also snow shoed through the Eckbeck Campground right on the river. The snow was piled high on the picnic tables.

Love the fact that this is a short hike in to view the high falls. You can make it a long hike or a short one. Gorgeous as usual.

This was one of my favorite spots that we visited on the North Shore this trip! The river is beautiful, the hike down was easy. Not accessible though. Stunning rapids and fun place to pick rocks.

From the visitor center, take the short hike down to the mouth of the Baptism, where it dumps into Lake Superior. Nice spot for agate hunting, fishing, dipping your feet in the cool water, or just chilling out.

Viewing the big and little falls, listening to it at night, taking walks along it, listening to birds, seeing deer up close.
