I have been here 4 times and every time it's like a new place. Today the water was running freely and beautiful over the rocks from a abundance of rain. Upper and lower falls, walking trails all over on both sides of the falls. Great...More

The trails were well maintained and the falls were gorgeous- worth the drive. Finding a parking space was challenging - so many people had the same idea.

Minnesota state parks did a nice job with ADA trails for people to enjoy the beautiful falls of gooseberry falls! The draw back was the crowds on the weekend, however; it's always great to see families enjoying the outdoors! Worth the stop ! No charge.

Nice hiking trails, upper and lower falls are very picturesque. Sun or rain, very nice. Excellent visitor center.

We came here after a great lunch at the Rustic Inn Cafe. We played in the water by the waterfalls then hiked down to the lake. It was a beautiful day and we had a terrific time.

Seems like nearly everyone who lives or travels to MN has been to the lower falls of at Gooseberry Falls. A MN icon! If the water is low the Lower and Middle Falls is the perfect place to walk across the rocky riverbed. If you...More

What an amazing place. Bring toys such as blankets, buckets and shovels for little ones. There are plenty of more areas in the falls for adventurous people to ramble about and jump but be careful with the little ones. Move downstream and enjoy the calmer...More

Beautiful setting, decent facilities, diverse and roomy campsites dispersed with good room between sites and access to central bathroom and shower facilities. Inexpensive.

We had a great couple of hours here exploring the falls and hiking around. It was pretty crowded, but it did not distract from the views. I would definitely make the trip up here, but beware that parking can be hard to come by.

It looks like you can buy a one day permit for $5.00 or a year long permit for all 75 parks for $25.00. when we went I didn't know that, drove in, enjoyed the park and left. I didn't see any signs, but found the fees on the... More

The easy answer is this: the highest levels would be after a significant rainfall. I don't think the water flow is controlled by a dam upstream. Sorry I can't be of more help. Call the visitor center for a realistic answer... More
