One of the best we visited in Montalcino

We visited 1st several years ago, and went again on returning to Montalcino. Shipped home Brunello and olive oil. You can't go wrong at Ciacci Piccolomini.

Our host, Simona, was wonderful and gave us a very detailed and thoughtful tour and explanation of your winery. The wines of course were top notch!

We visited Ciacci Piccolomini on a recommendation from our Hotel in Pienza. They have just opened up a new tasting room outside of Montalcino. This was well worth the drive and the site itself offers great views and beautiful architecture. The hostess was attentive and offered options for small plates as well as the bold and beautiful Brunello. We purchase... More

We popped in, when really we should have booked a tour. But, the team was very accommodating - they finished with a big group and then allowed us to taste their olive oil and wines. We ended up ordering from them because they were one of the few wineries that shipped to Alabama, and it only cost $35 to ship... More

The lovely young woman who gave us our tour was very informed on the history of the winery. Our group really enjoyed hearing the story of the family that owned the winery and how it became its current successful enterprise. Touring the original winery location in Montalcino proper gave us the historical context, so if you have the time for... More

We were a group of 7. Had a nice tour of the facility and explanation of the wines and processes, and then had a tasting of four wines, plus grappa! I bought wine to have shipped, they were very easy to,work with and happy to ship. Well worth the visit!

We had tasted the San Caterina dell'Oro on several occasions at Restaurant La Buca degli Artisti in Copenhagen and was very impressed by the wine's high quality. As we were in the region we decided to visit and were not disappointed. We got a very kind reception at the wine shop and purchased some cases of wine to be sent... More

My Girlfriend and I stopped in Piccolomini for a tasting during our cruise through Montalcino. Simona gave us great service and attention. She is very knowledgeable and passionate. She taught us a lot about Brunello. Obviously, we had some wine shipped back to the States. Great experience all around.
