Lovely views over the river at short walk distance from the car parks. The fall colours were great and a bonus was the sighting of the two deer which walked across in front of us.

We stopped in here to catch some views of the beautiful Mississippi River. After a few short trails, (we had our senior dog with us) we got to take some gorgeous photos. There were longer trails and camping sites, also some picnic table, which we...More

One of the most beautiful parks we have ever been too and would go again except it doesn't even have a dump station so it is too primitive for us in our senior years. The date we were there was not one of the choices...More

We took the longest hike up to the view point. They say it takes 2 hours but it only took us 1 at a good pace. Great signage, trail maintenance, and great views. I would recommend!

We hiked the 2.5 mile Minnesota State Park Hiking Club trail. It includes varied terrain, interpretive signs, and beautiful views.

Great River Bluffs State Park (Formerly known as O.L. Kipp SP) is usually not crowded so offers a great place to hike trails that go through wooded areas ending on some spectacular bluff prairies that overlook the Mississippi River.

There are bathrooms in the picnic area and campgrounds. From the campground the trail to one overlook is not real long.
