I happened to stumble upon this place today and popped in for a visit. I had planned on about an hour to see the place, but ended up spending almost 3 hours there. From a tour of Jefferson Davies last home, a stop at the "Tomb of the Unknown Confederate Soldier", a stroll through the cemetery of numerous Civil War... More

Sad to realize artifacts lost during storm, we had visited prior. Still a good tour for those interested in the history of the area.

During our time wintering in the South, we have learned a great deal about the Civil War but not a lot about the confederate President, Jefferson Davis. Beauvior(beautiful view) became his home after the war ended. The museum is filled with artifacts from the period and vises which explain some of more interesting facts known. I highly recommend viewing all... More

Upon arrival in Biloxi, we checked TripAdvisor for "things to do" and found Beauvoir listed near the top. Hubby happens to be a Civil War history enthusiast, so he was keenly interested to learn that the home of the only president of the Confederate States of America was preserved here. The property also houses Jefferson Davis' presidential library, museum, and... More

When I initially drove along the highway and saw the plantation-like structure, I didn't think much of it. I've visited other plantation homes and wasn't really looking to visit another. What caught my attention was the marker that noted it also housed the Presidential Library for Jefferson Davis. To be honest, growing up in Hawaii, I had little knowledge of... More

This place is a must see for me and everyone who passes through Biloxi. All the stories and history in this place is magnificent. They offer a student discount, and other discounts as well. Prices are just a donation to help preserve all the work they do here. The gift shop has great buys and sites as well with the... More

Senior couple. A very nice and interesting presentation on the Jefferson Davis term as CSA President. The Davis home was beautiful with the antique furniture and elegant rooms. Tour guide was excellent. We did not walk on the grounds, but sounded very interesting as well. This visit was well worth the time and admission price.

This is a nice tour with authentic history. The main house was severely damaged after hurricane Katrina but has been restored. It's an amazing home with original furnishings, some of which you would think that should not function (check out the grandfather clock). The staff is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. The lawns are kept up so children can... More

We learned so much about Jefferson Davis and were amazed how he didn't want to secede! Well worth our time! The home was beautiful. The museum is small but well worth it. Be sure to watch the films! We are Southerners ourselves but learned quite a bit! The surrounding grounds, cemetery (Tomb of the Unknown Confederate Soldier), and pets were... More
