Its all been said in the previous reviews. This place is part of Blues History and hosts local blues musicians. We went there one evening and listened to a set and mistakenly left after we thought the group was done for the night. Our mistake....More

Was it much to look at? Nope Was the music the best? Nope. Was the vibe everything we thought it would be (and more)? You bet. Great music from Howl-N-Madd Perry, great conversation with Charles tending bar, and just an authentic experience at an actual...More

Cash only cold beer and great music. Well worth the time to visit. This is the sort of joint that makes the Old Highway 51 worth the trip. No kids, no cards, cash cover, great delta blues. Classic.

Sitting in Reds bar is a privilege. Listen to the blues played in a relaxed, inexpensive, intimate, and informal setting. The way live music venues should be, if you ask me.

My son and I felt like we were sitting on a front porch or in a living room listening to true blues musicians playing from their soul. Such an intimate venue and unique experience you can't get at Ground Zero. These guys aren't just playing...More

A friend recommended Red's and we were so glad that we went. We had a great time and the music was phenomenal. The ceiling really needs a fix though! Just a little, so the old juke joint atmosphere is preserved.

A quintessential and authentic Delta blues juke joint, and one of very few still in existence. Heard great live music on a Wednesday night (thanks to Big A and his All-Stars). Cozy (to say the least), with limited beer selections, tight seating and standing, and...More

Visited Reds during a festival in Clarksdale, but the was more than enough room & entertainment for everyone! We was gutted when younger Red called time at 1am, but only because we were having such a great time! With the added bonus of Reds BBQ...More

The building doesn't look like much from the outside. Doesn't really look like much from the inside either. BUT, when you walk in it instantly takes you back in time. Find out at Cat Head when the live music is. Then once you're there, grab...More

Agree with the other commenters -- Cat Head is the best source of information regarding Red's (and, for that matter, almost anything else regarding Clarksdale). You'll find them at cathead biz. And if you don't see what... More

Probably depends on the teenager. It is a little rough around the edges, but I would have taken mine when they were in their teens.
