This garden is a highly recommended stop on any trip to the Welty home. It is located on a small and sloping "hillside" in the rear of the house. There is an upper garden and an intermediate or lower garden containing various plants and flowers...More

I was here entirely by accident! Drove to see the home on a recent trip and they were having an event. Gardens and house were open. In the spring the flowers are all in bloom. It is an informal garden with lots of camelias and...More
Lovely little garden walk you can attend anytime without cost (I think). Viewed the house, too, which was lovely. The gardens are peaceful and enjoyed imagining Eudora with her friends enjoying the gardens and "little house".
I got to experience the beauty and aroma that the author experienced...Magnolias, rose, and herbs were growing. Also inspected the playhouse her brothers used to use as a club..Should be made part of the tour
